Freecount is a shared expense management application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data transparently, in compliance with GDPR.

3. Third-Party Services
Firebase Cloud Messaging: push notifications. Firebase Policy
Google AdMob: advertising. You can disable personalization in Android Settings > Google > Ads. Google Policy
4. Data Sharing
Your data is never sold. Sharing is limited to:
- Trip participants (name and expenses visible)
- Technical providers (Hetzner servers, Firebase, AdMob)
- Authorities if required by law
5. Security
- Encrypted communications (HTTPS/TLS)
- Hashed passwords
- JWT token authentication
- Servers in Germany (EU)
6. Data Retention

7. Your Rights

8. International Transfers
Data stored in Germany (EU). Google services may process some data in the United States under the Data Privacy Framework.
9. Children
Freecount is not intended for users under 13 years of age.
10. Changes
Any changes will be communicated via the app or email.
